What will you do?

As a Mid-Level Recruiter at Jelle, you’ve already learned how recruitment works. You get a kick out of finding the right candidate, can take on job openings independently, and understand how important it is to switch gears quickly and effectively between candidates, colleagues, and clients.

Every day, you’re busy finding and interviewing candidates for various positions. You conduct initial interviews, assess whether someone is a good fit for a job opening and the organization, and guide candidates through the entire application process. In doing so, you look beyond just a CV. You want to know what someone is capable of, where they want to go in their career, and what kind of work environment suits them best.

You are responsible for your own job openings and candidates and keep track of their progress. At the same time, you work closely with our account managers. They know the client, you know the candidate, and together you ensure the right match.

Since you already have recruitment experience, we also expect you to look beyond your own job postings. Do you see a way to do things smarter, faster, or better? If so, we’d love to hear from you. At Jelle, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas about our recruitment strategy, processes, and systems.

Your duties will include:

  • Actively searching for and approaching candidates through various channels
  • Conducting phone calls and in-person intake interviews
  • Independently managing and filling job openings for our clients
  • Evaluating candidates based on their experience, motivation, and fit with the organization
  • Recommending suitable candidates to clients
  • Guiding candidates through the entire application process
  • Maintaining contact with candidates before, during, and after their job application
  • Collaborating with account managers on job openings and client needs
  • Working toward your own recruitment goals and results
  • Contributing ideas for improvements in recruitment and our work processes
  • Supporting and orienting new colleagues and interns
  • Building and maintaining a strong network of candidates

Where will you work

Jelle isn’t your typical staffing agency. We believe that work should feel like an extension of your weekend: a place you look forward to going to and that energizes you.

You’ll be joining a team of about 30 colleagues where the recruitment, sales, and back-office teams work closely together. From our office overlooking Rotterdam, we help job seekers take the next step in their careers and connect companies with the people they need every day.

The atmosphere is informal, communication lines are short, and good ideas can be implemented quickly. You’ll have a lot of freedom in your work, but you’re never on your own. We help each other, share knowledge, and celebrate our achievements together.

We also place a high value on professional development. Would you like to take on more responsibility, earn your SEU or VIL-VCU certification, or eventually advance to a senior role? If so, we’ll work with you to determine which next step is right for you.

Who are you?

  • You have at least 1 year of experience in recruitment or the temporary staffing industry
  • You have the work and thinking skills equivalent to a vocational or higher vocational education level
  • You can manage job openings and candidates on your own
  • You have a business-oriented mindset and get energized by achieving results
  • You communicate easily with different kinds of people
  • You’re proactive and don’t just wait for candidates to come to you on their own
  • You enjoy contributing ideas on how to make recruitment smarter and more effective
  • You can easily keep track of things when you have multiple job openings at the same time
  • You take responsibility for your own work and results
  • You want to continue developing yourself and are open to training and certifications
